Hjemmeside v1

Efter feedback gik jeg i gang med siden.
Hvor jeg både fik prøvet kræfter med ” class” og ”map”
Oprindeligt havde jeg sat højden til billedet i topen til 314 pixels, men da banner og menu billedet fyldte en del, gjorde jeg billedet lidt lavere, og det endte med at det blev 297 pixels.

Efter blevet færdig med koden og grafikken, sendte jeg links og spørgeskema ud til nogle af mine familiemedlemmer og venner for useability test.
Indtil videre har jeg fået god feedback.

Ja, meget let

Jeg blev dog lidt forvirret under showreel. Efter at din ”film” er færdig, er der mulighed for at klikke sig ind på forskellige links, der viser forskellige korte animerede film. Blev i tvivl, om det var noget du havde været med til at lave eller om det bare er noget, du har valgt at have på din hjemmeside, for at vise hvilke film/filmklip du synes om. (Det kan jo sige noget om dig, din sans for humor, og dine interesser på området).

Er der noget der bør ændres?
Måske lidt i teksten. Jeg er ikke ekspert i engelsk, men der er et par ting, som jeg tror er grammatisk forkerte.

Tror det er to. Der er dog lige den ting, at jeg ikke har installeret outlook på min PC. Måske det er lidt unormalt  Men det gør, at jeg ikke kan finde dine kontaktinformationer. Jeg kan ikke finde din emailadresse, telefonnr….

Er det evt. noget du kan lave som en standard i bunden af hver side?
Hvad med en ”kontakt side”, hvor folk kan skrive direkte til dig uden de skal sende dig en email?

Yes.

Is there something that should be change?
There aren't any major problems that I can see. It might be a good idea to make it a bit less busy-looking, particularly the background image, so that the content doesn't have to compete as much with the site design. Also, the page title should be more user and search-engine friendly, with a description of what the page contains. That's it as far as user-visible changes.

HTML-wise, the header graphic should probably use something other than an image map for the links (image slices, perhaps?). Also, the markup itself could stand to be more semantic, like using h1 instead of div class h1

Well from the front page I can see it’s about an artist portfolio. Without reading the stuff on the front page, I’d think it had something to do with a video game maybe.

I think you did great with the website It runs smoothly and the contact info is always just a scroll down away (I love that). The picture of Lou looks awesome too at the top (the header). Also your picture looks really professional, even though you are standing I don’t know where. The website also has that adventure, sci-fi, video game feel to it. Awesome job, I hope you put more art and animations up there

What does it tell you? It tells me that you are a creative person, who is developing different skills in artwork, especially animation work and graphic work, including webdesign.

Who do you think is the targeted audience? The targeted audience is the person or company that you want to show your work, e.g. to apply for a job or when you want to be hired for a project.



Is it easy to navigate on the side? Yes, it is very easy to navigate on your site.



Is there something that should be change? Well, here are some honest remarks I’d like to make. I tried to look at your site through the eyes of an “employer”, which is, I think what you’d like to hear.

- Check your texts for little mistakes! On your “Home”-page for example you write “carrier” and I think you mean “career”. On the “About me”-page, first paragraph, 2nd sentence, you write “I lives”. Then in the 4th paragraph, 1st sentence, you write “..I since childhood has admired…”. On the “Art”-page: “3D Graphic Comming soon”. And some more through the pages. I hope you don’t think I’m nagging about this but in my webdesign course I was taught to read my texts carefully before publishing them, as you want the site to be your “business card” so the contents as well as the language used should be close to perfect.

- If I were you I would not put the plushies in the Art-section. If you want to use the site as your portfolio to get a job or a project, I just don’t think the plushies - though very cute! - are “professional” enough. However the laptop-sticker and the cake decoration show the diversity of what you can do with graphic work and how you can apply it, as well as your creativity!
